Brooke grew up in Arlington, Nebraska and attended Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. Brooke graduated with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in History. She then attended law school at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, where she received her Juris Doctorate with distinction.
Following law school, Brooke moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and passed the South Dakota Bar Exam. She began her career in private practice for a law firm in Sioux Falls before joining May & Johnson, P.C. in November of 2018. Brooke’s practice focuses on estate planning and business succession planning and entity formation.

Brooke is married to Grant Harms. Grant works for Corteva Agriscience as a sales representative for southeast South Dakota. Brooke and Grant love cheering on their Nebraska Cornhuskers and enjoy staying active playing volleyball and basketball.
